At the Friedrichskoog Seal Centre, you can observe the seals and grey seals living permanently at the centre up close on land and under water. The exhibition "Native Seals in the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site", which will open in 2023, invites you to interactively learn about the biology and adaptations of marine mammals, threats and current conservation concepts. The unique habitat of the Wadden Sea and the North Sea as far as Heligoland is presented here with its special features.

In the "Seal View", the rearing and rehabilitation work from finding a pup to releasing it back into the wild is vividly presented. A 23 metre long glass front provides a view into the pools of the seals living permanently at the station as well as the inaccessible breeding area. The Friedrichskoog Seal Sanctuary is the only authorised sanctuary for abandoned or sick seals in Schleswig Holstein in accordance with the international seal convention.
