Bunker, guided tours by appointment:
There is a permanent exhibition with an emphasis on Helgoland and its fishing industry. Another focal point is Helgoland as a place for oceanography and ornithology. An original lobster booth and a characteristic residential building of Helgoland show the life of the islanders until 150 years ago. Changing topical exhibitions on the history of the island take place.
The lobster stalls at the harbour were altered into an information centre on the history and culture of Helgoland. They do not offer pure island history alone but are also serve as a maritime registry office!
