Description
A new centre for arts has been established in Büdelsdorf. It began as a private initiative of the ACO Group. Now, it is continued as KiC gGmbH in cooperation with the town of Büdelsdorf. Its tried and tested structures were kept and consolidated. So the fourth edition of the “Nord Art” in the year 2000 was no longer limited to the ACO-carriage shed and the park of the ACO-group but expanded into the public rooms of the town. During the “Nord Art”, artists from Northern Germany and the countries along the Baltic Sea present their works. The main emphasis is on painting and sculpture.
The stage in front of the old furnace is used for experimental theatre performances, musicals, cinema shows and concerts.

Since industrial operations were shut down in 1997, different venues for theatre and other events joined forces to create a special setting for exhibitions, concerts, readings, plays, and film screenings. NordArt, in particular, attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year.
