Description
The Museum of Medicine and Pharmacy is located in a historic library building by architects Gropius and Schmieden dating from 1884. On 500 square meters, the museum presents exhibitions on historical and current medical research at Kiel University. In accessible pharmacy facilities of the 19th century from Schleswig-Holstein, the visitors are fascinated by the technology of drug production. In addition, the museum exhibits changing special exhibitions.

By car: follow the signs "Fähren / Ostseekai", the museum is situated 150 metres North of the Ostseekai
Admission: regular €5, reduced €2, children up to 14 years free
(no card payment possible)
The collection provides a fascinating look into the history of pharmacy over the past few centuries, allowing visitors to experience medical research and historical treatment methods up close. Numerous historical instruments, devices, and preserved specimens, most from Kiel and Schleswig-Holstein, are on display.
