In Kiel, danach Studienreise nach Halle, 1841 Prosektor (Sezierer) am Anatomischen Institut der Universität Kierl, 1842 Habilitation in Kiel, 1845-1848 stellvertr. Direktor des Anatomischen Instituts, 1851 außerord. Professor für pathologische Anatomie, 1852-1853 kommissarischer Direktor des Akademischen Krankenhauses.
