Beschreibung
The sculpture park is situated on the premises of former Seekamp Manor between Pries-Friedrichsort and Schilksee. Within the region, Seekamp is a place which has had a great cultural significance for centuries.
Only a few hundred metres off Fördestrasse an avenue of old lime-trees leads the visitor into the vast park. The sculptor Hans Kock has created an impressive „Gesamtkunstwerk“ there by combining landscape and art.
Twelve of his large sculptures are standing on the premises. Additionally, there is the sculpture yard: an elevated field stone terrace which is surrounded by brick walls. These embed pieces of relief art. Furthermore, there is a large sculpture made of concrete elements. They form a seating arrangement inviting the visitor to stay. Small sculptures by the artist are presented in permanent exhibitions in the former manor house and the horse stable.
Special exhibitions with a focus on contemporary art are shown in May/June as well as in August/September.
Tipps
A visit of the sculpture park can be conveniently connected with a walking or cycling tour to Schilksee. There is a surrounding nature reserve.
Anreise PKW
By car from Kiel: on Fördestraße (K 17) in the direction of Olympiazentrum
Schilksee. On the route Friedrichsort to Schilksee please follow the brown sign Hans-Kock-Stiftung. Afterwards please take Schilkseer
Straße to your left, then Seekamper Weg.
by car from Schleswig or Schloß Gottorf: in the direction of Friedrichsberg, after the “Oberlandesgericht” (provincial high court and court of appeal) in the direction of Hüsby, at the crossing there in the direction of Dannewerk
By bus from Kiel main station: buses no. 33, 501, 502 in the direction of Schilksee or Strande, bus stop Seekamp
After crossing of Fördestraße continue on Schilkseer Straße for a short distance. Please follow Seekamper Weg, then. Lindenallee which branches off to the right takes you to the sculpture park.

On the property of the former Seekamp Manor, the sculptor Hans Kock has created an impressive artistic synthesis that unites art and the landscape. The grounds include a sculptured yard with concrete seats that encourage guests to linger. In the summer, special exhibitions are held that focus on contemporary art.
