The sculptor and painter Otto Flath (1906 – 1987) lived in Bad Segeberg from 1935 and created many of his works here. On the initiative of the Burmester couple a first exhibition room was added to Flath’s house and studio in 1948. Later on more rooms were added.
Sculptures, paintings and drawings by Otto Flath are presented in the ‘art hall’ and on the grounds surrounding the former villa of the artist. The former ‘Villa Flath” offers working facilities and exhibition rooms to young contemporary artists, who are supported by the Flath Foundation. |
